1. Wash Gently, Wash Right
Use a sulphate-free shampoo and lukewarm water. Never rub — always work the shampoo through the hair in a downward motion. Rinse thoroughly and follow with a moisturising conditioner, leaving it on for 3–5 minutes before rinsing.
2. Detangle Before and After Washing
Always detangle your wig before washing using a wide-tooth comb or your fingers. Start from the ends and work your way up to the roots to avoid breakage.
3. Air Dry is Best
Pat your wig dry with a microfibre towel — never rub. Place it on a wig stand and allow it to air dry naturally. If you must use heat, always apply a heat protectant spray first and use the lowest setting possible.
4. Store Properly
When not in use, store your wig on a wig stand or in a silk bag away from direct sunlight. This helps maintain the shape and prevents tangling.
5. Avoid Sleeping in Your Wig
Sleeping in your wig causes unnecessary friction and tangling. If you must sleep in it, braid the hair loosely and cover with a silk bonnet.
6. Deep Condition Monthly
Human hair wigs need moisture just like your natural hair. Deep condition once a month to keep the strands soft, shiny, and manageable.
